ABOUT LISA BERRY
I am of Métis, Plains Cree and Norwegian decent. Originally from Alberta, Treaty 8 Territory. I belong to Métis Nation British Columbia and currently reside in Hope on the traditional lands of the Stó:lō people.
I am a self taught photographer with over 10 years of experience in family portrait photography. I've been creating and expression myself through conceptual composite photography for over 5 years. Seeing my ideas come to life through photography or illustration is what motivates me to create and share my work.
I have another passion for illustrating colouring books and Métis designs for t-shirt and stickers. My designs are connected to my journey of learning, connection and taking pride in who I’ve always been, where I come from and where I am going. I’ve gone from hiding my Indigenous heritage to sharing it.
